Service desks are vulnerable for password attacks – See what to do in 2020

The service desk has the key to the door to protected data and systems. How do you prevent that the keys are given away? Passwords are the keys!

On January 16, FastPassCorp, together with HDI and ITSMF, arranged the webinar "When ITSM Met Security". It helped the participants understand the threats and financial consequences for their companies of weak identity verification in the service desk when resetting passwords. CEO Finn Jensen also proposed actions to be taken immediately and to plan for the future.

The webinar received very good reactions, and you can now watch the Webinar on how Service Desk can improve the corporate IT-Security in 2020. The webinar will not only look at risks and consequences but also propose actions to reduce and control the risk.

Key takeaways:

  • Why social engineering has become the top security risk for the service desk
  • Create a secure and formal process for authentication of users who call in for a password reset
  • Where service desks should be prioritizing resources to prevent data breaches now!
